I’ve always loved traveling — and maybe even more than that, I’ve loved planning travel. Even while working full-time as a Chief Technology Officer, I’ve always found myself researching destinations, digging into the details, and helping family and friends plan trips they’d never forget.

For years, I pictured myself becoming a full-time travel advisor in retirement. But in 2024 I thought, why wait? So I didn’t. I joined a host agency, began formal training, and started building The Road Not Taken as a part-time passion that lets me share what I love with others.

I’ve always had a knack for exploring beyond the obvious — finding unique experiences, hidden gems, and the places that bring out the real heart of a destination. Sure, every trip has a few must-see attractions, but it’s the paths less traveled that make a journey unforgettable. That idea is what inspired the name of my business.

The name comes from one of my favorite poems, The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost — a piece I first connected with during my time at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. The final stanza has stayed with me for decades:

“I shall be telling this with a sigh,
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”

That message — choosing your own path, embracing adventure, and finding meaning in the journey — is exactly what I aim to bring into every trip I help create.

How I Work:
I can plan and book as much — or as little — as you need. I take time to understand your interests, your dislikes, your travel style, and the kind of moments you want to create. Travel is more than a destination — it’s an experience. My job is to make that experience feel personal, effortless, and uniquely you.
